Upgraded Stud Finder Wall Scanner with Multifunction Detection

The Jurgen K stud finder uses UPGRADED SMART SENSORS that can detect changes in density behind walls, enabling it to locate the center of studs with GREAT ACCURACY. This eliminates the need to drill numerous incorrect holes when mounting TVs, shelves, or coat hooks on drywall.

The stud locator offers 3 scan modes. The Deep Scan Mode can detect studs through up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) of drywall. The DeepScan Mode is a higher-sensitivity setting for when there are extra layers of wallboard or paneling. To minimize false positives or detecting objects that are not studs, users should always start with the 0.5-inch or 1-inch StudScan Mode first.

After detecting the center of an object, the Metal Scan can be used to determine if it is a wood stud, metal stud, or pipe. The Metal Scan mode can detect pipes up to 2.36 inches (60 mm) deep. The stud finder will locate both wood and metal studs in Stud Scan, Deep Scan, and Metal Scan Modes, as it is detecting changes in density rather than a specific material.

The Wire Warning detection feature indicates the presence of live, unshielded electrical wiring up to 2 inches (51 mm) deep, providing an important safety feature.

To use the tool, first calibrate it before each scan. In Stud/Deep mode, place it on the wall; in AC/Metal mode, hold it in the air. Then, slowly move the stud finder along the wall. When the signal bar is full and the beep is loudest, mark the center of the detected object. Switch to Metal Scan mode to confirm if it is a stud or metal.
